Almost certain now it's the drive's controller intermittentally failing. In particular where windows stores its mapping from physical memory to virtual memory has been corrupted. If so, then test a different stick of RAM in the same number 1 slot..

this could be caused by a bad copy on disk, or a corruption as it was being read from the disk, or even a corruption caused by another device driver. solved BSOD on Newly Built PC. no sensible correlation between what I was doing and the crashes. the first one was right when i started the backup process and the other two about 20-30 mins after it started backing. Ask ! Go to either NVIDIA's or AMD's website, download the newest driver package for the card, and see if the problem goes away.
I try to scan once every night because the scans take about 2 hours. I hope I did everything correctly and thanks so much for all the help.
