been watching youtube and other flash format videos for a month now with not a single bsod. I can then choose to close out the file playing to no ill effect until I go to another page with another flash video / flash banner. You're like Linux devs already - each tiny program update calls for new OS release. Disable Hardware Acceleration

It has nothing to do with experience, that's not the matter. the older versions of the Catalyst software that drives that card don't work with the latest combo of Firefox and Adobe Flash. I suspect it's due to the context not being fully saved. I will say that I'd recommend you remove this software as it causes lotf of issues, including BSODs.

  • This tool uses JavaScript and much of it will not work correctly without it enabled.

Probably a hardware acceleration (HWA) problem mixed with video card drivers within Chrome/Firefox.
