I'm looking into 'help' but it does not seem to cover this variation. All the ports are USB 3.0 and the drive was not detected with them too .The other ports are working (i use them for pen-drives ,mouse etc) ...the external drive works Right click on the drive and set the new partition and then format it and give it a drive letter. Previously the motherboard of the PC was ASUS p4S133 having some power problems but worked for 6 years with that problems and finally has bean dead after 15 years working , More about the author
