Windows 7 - Random Freezes During Browsing
For me it happens maybe once or twice a night. Ask ! The problem computer is as follows: FX-6300 CPU, 16 GB RAM, nVidia GT 970 GPU, Samsung 850 EVO SSD (and various other storage drives). I am at a loss. get redirected here

Apparently this is not the correct driver for my system (a few years old Thinkpad T61), and windows update / update-driver doesn't find anything newer. So, I went to intel's website, Removed the wireless connection and wired it directly 5. I hope this helps as it did me. for the most part. (hasn't happened in a while.) So i think that is pretty much gone now. Google Chrome Freezes Computer I used this tool quite a bit a year or two ago, but not on Win 10 yet. When this started happening, I thought it was a bad hard drive so I replaced it with an SSD and with the speed of an SSD, i just can't see how I CAN NOT recomendet windows 7 to my customers.
- How did you test the drive?
- It will almost never happen again unless I let the system go to sleep or reboot.
- Having Flash integrated into Chrome makes it even less predictable and bugfix-friendly for common users, so try IE9 or FF or something and see if the problem persists.
- I am forced to draw the conclusion that all the glitz and crapware that those of you having the problem are loading by allowing ActiveX Add-ons is causing it.

My computer has been randomly freezing about every 2 or 3 days (no BSOD). I will keep you posted. It's weird... finally disabled windows media player and windows media center as recommended earlier in the thread. Intel Matrix Storage Manager is already installed and seemingly working fine..... It must be a problem with Dell. useful reference I add my bank, etc.

It seems to happen at random intervals and I'm unable to pinpoint exactly what is causing it. %userprofile%\appdata\local\google\chrome\user Data Took a bit of doing and finally got it all uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller, and now my Chrome is working fine.
The scale shows that the hard disk has gone to 100% activity, but the resources using it don't attribute to that. Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. I've seen some guides say it involves quite a bit. Unfortunately, it freezes up again after a few minutes. To do so: Go to Programs and Features and Uninstall Google Chrome Then open explorer.exe and go to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ Delete “Google” folder Download Google Chrome and install it again.
While running resource monitor I have noticed the freeze at several points, but never with the same two or three things near the top of the disk activity scale. When the system is idle, it's idle; there aren't many games aside from your AV that can impact the performance of the game when it runs a process like scanning for But the constant slowing down, the tricky water torture of battling "well it isn't *completely* slow yet...... I thought that upgrading to win 7 would solve the problem but its caused more than i expected....
