Make The CBS.log Useable


Is there a specific issue you are having with this PC, or is it just being odd in general? Has anybody figured out a way to quickly identify the corrupted files ?? btw, in the past, I have accessed, copied and interpreted cbs logs, but now my beast doesn't create them and I have no idea why.   1. Cancel doesn't work either so the only way out is to close the whole computer and force closedown.
  2. Do know tho that the log contains the word "failed" 707 times ??
  3. Type sfc /scannow into the Command Prompt window - note the blank in front of the slash (/).

  6. Here is what you do: Open an elevated Command Prompt (go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > right click on Command Prompt > Run as Administrator).

I recently installed 2 more gigs, thinking that I would max out... Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. A third level Microsoft Support person refuses to do anything more to resolve some issues until the file corruption issues is resolved.
