I've just moved into a new place and its a lot more humid/hot in this part of town so that could play a part in the heat issue. Do you have a cooling pad? Facebook and website overlays aren't laggy like the used to be. I think that might have been the problem.

We also provide an extensive Windows 7 tutorial section that covers a wide range of tips and tricks. Paul is right though, bios controls the cpu. You would also need the service manual and possibly the board schematic to ensure your in the right place when using the soldering kit, there is also the chance you could As I get the same thing, but usually as windows loads, and only sometimes, and only on fresh boots it seems.
I was wondering if you chose that SSD drive just for boot up speed or your reasoning there. Picking the right model for your needs can be a difficult task given all the options to choose from.... I'm assuming the bsod was caused because of the driver change. I would get BSOD's from the time I built this computer.

I want to take a look at the CPU and check the thermal paste but unfortunately I do not have a screw driver at the moment so I cannot take a I'm erractically receiving a Stop 0x00000124 error, which seems to be related to when I'm playing music. Hopefully the bios update does it for you and it's a simple fix rather than a drawn out week after week procedure of testing and swapping out hardware. useful reference Is there any possible fix for the hdmi port or the gpu? 07-29-2015, 04:19 PM #10 joeten Microsoft-Team Manager Hardware - Team Manager Join Date: Dec 2008

Try using Manual voltage instead of Offset. So what does that mean? TLDR: I turn on my PC it runs on the desktop then as soon as I try to open any type of program or file it BSODs or just black screens I did a quick google search on that that meant and it said it should be a hardware issue.
