I now have 120 days to decide whether to buy it … also, almost everything remained installed and customised, Media Centre preferences , libraries, shortcuts on the desktop etc… IE8 and Home Premium or Professional? So you mean to say if we enter this product key on October 18 , it will work , and not before that???
I doubt Windows would be on 90 odd percent of all computers if it was nearly as bad as that. I'm running W7 RC 7100 on a 35gb partition with 7gb free. November 7, 2009 Tony I had Windows 7 RC and then upgraded to Windows 7 RTM Home Premium and it install without any problem or error.

Technically, if you lower the MinClient value (from the instructions) to 2600 (the build number for XP) it *might* work but I absolutely do not recommend this. Save the "cversion.ini" file. I only did the clean install. But the setup says I need 11gb?? Will the procedure work on this version of the retail? Addy K...thanks VG Addy The key that begins with 334NH says an error that "This Key Does Not Work With This Edition Of Windows .
That's it. I had to do it manually. So i did what was above, and had to switch the minclient to 6900 to be below the minserver which was at 7000. how to do.
I hope my error can help someone else. What I can tell you is that I had no troubles on my end. And perhaps some of these steps will work for others. Such is the cost of the bleeding edge.
I have ordered Windows 7 Professional Upgrade. I lost audiodriver which is always problematic: E-MU.
