Anyway, I ran compcln.exe and only got about 900 MB free...what a load! u are talking about a New Update for Windows 7 SP1 but were can i download that update ?? Not only that, you decrease the number of fixes on disk, the number of catalog files for those fixes, the number of fixes in the local WU database, so subsequent Windows Check This Out

I have read all about the winsxs folder, why it is there and what it does and despite all the poor M$ techs trying to justify its existence, reading between the A Clean windows vista install with all drivers, updates, and service packs should only take up to (in the neighborhood of) 17 - 18 GB.
